Capsule
One small moment, every day.
Working prototype
The idea
Most apps want you to post. I wanted a place to keep your days that has exactly one reader: you. Capsule lets you record a seven-second video each day, write reflections, seal letters to your future self until a date you choose, and bury "time capsules" of memories to open later. Every week, month and year it stitches your clips into a short memory movie.
The look
The first version was too cute: bright pink, emoji everywhere. I redesigned it to feel like a beautiful old diary, warm and nostalgic but not childish. There are three journal themes: Blush Diary, Vintage Journal and Forest Archive. On the web version, switching themes turns the page like a book.
How far it got
Capsule runs on an iPhone, signs you in, and syncs your memories privately between your own devices through a small server I set up with AI help. Before trying to submit it, I had it checked against the App Store rules and removed buttons that didn't do anything yet.
What's next
It isn't in the App Store yet. A few account and setup steps are still to do.
Three journal themes
Each theme is a mood, not just a light or dark switch. These swatches use the real colours.
Blush Diary
Soft pink, like warm stationery
Vintage Journal
Warm leather and old paper
Forest Archive
Deep green, like cabin journals
